Допускается литерное обозначение номинальной стоимости почтовой марки;

Comment – According to interstate and international compacts the Republic of Belarus is the legal successor of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, therefore this license tag is also applicable to official symbols and formal documents of the Byelorussian SSR.

Warning – This license tag cannot be applied to proposed official symbols and drafts of the formal documents, which can be copyrighted.

Prohibiciones que ya no están vigentes:

Moldavia: LPC192/2012
Polonia: art. 256 del Dz.U. 1997 nr 88 poz. 553 del código penal ha eliminado las referencias a imágenes y ahora solo abarca la promoción de ideas comunistas
Estados Unidos: tenía leyes estatales y municipales; la Corte Suprema las declaró inconstitucionales en Stromberg v. California, 283 U.S. 359 (1931)

Las imágenes a las que se aplican las prohibiciones pueden incluir la hoz y martillo^es, la estrella roja, emblemas/insignias, banderas o imágenes de líderes.
